I am Reverend Kim L. Sutter, a
Non-Denominational, Ordained Minister Authorized and Licensed to
Solemnize Marriages within the State of Ohio since June, 2002.
MY “SPECIALTY” IS TO TRAVEL WITHIN
THE STATE OF OHIO – WHEREVER THE COUPLE WISHES TO BE MARRIED.
The ceremonies I perform are as
unique as the couple being Married. I am very open-minded to
the couple’s request to make each ceremony intimate and
personal. I pride myself with writing each ceremony for each
couple.
For the Bride and Groom who is
looking for a traditional church wedding, I have affiliations
with several very elegant Wedding Chapels. I also provide very
intimate Christian ceremonies for the Bride and Groom who wants
the outdoor wedding with the traditional Christian Ceremony
I have become aware of the Bride and
Groom wanting to marry outside the traditional church wedding.
Today’s couple wants to be unique with their ceremony. Whether
it is the couples’ first ceremony or not, the needs are the
same: to make the ceremony unique to that couple.
I have solemnized marriages with just the bride and groom, as
well as large wedding parties with hundreds of guests.
Sometimes I consider myself an “On-Call”
Wedding Officiate. I try to accommodate couples who “just want
to get married” without the frills, pomp and circumstance. I
pride myself in being able to answer the request when I receive
a call:
“’Could you marry us tomorrow?’
or
‘How soon could you perform the ceremony?’
‘Are you available this afternoon?’ or
‘How about this evening?’”
I have performed ceremonies in a
wedding chapel, in a backyard, by a swimming pool, under the
tree where the groom proposed, at a couple’s home and/or
apartment, on the lake in the couple’s boat.
With my “Specialty” being travel, I
have been called throughout Ohio; including (but not limited to)
Sandusky Bay and Lake Erie where I performed a double wedding
from the dock while each couple stood on the bow of their boat
and also on Lake Erie in a couple’s boat using the Marblehead
Lighthouse as the backdrop to Solemnize the Marriage.
I also assist in Anniversary
Celebrations by writing the ceremony for the
renewal/reaffirmation ceremony and Officiating that ceremony.
My ability to be open-minded and
versatile with ceremonies lets the couple have that
Special Ceremony exactly the place and language they
want. Often times when children are involved, I include them in
the ceremony with the bride and/or groom making promising
commitments to the children.
Not only is my goal to provide my
service to Solemnize the Marriage or Officiate the
Reaffirmation, but also to help plan the unique ceremony for the
unique couple – using Candles of Symbolism, Unity Candles,
Roses, Lilies, Colored Sand, or the unique ceremony requested by
the Bride and Groom. By me being Non-Denominational opens the
door of opportunity to the Bride and Groom to be creative with
their ceremony.
The vows again are as unique as the
couple. Vows may be written by the couple, traditional, or
non-traditional.
